Club Competitions
Award Competition - 14th April 2018
The competition on March 4th 2018 has been rescheduled to Saturday 14th April starting at 1:00pm.
Please check your child is listed with the correct spelling of their name and note down the group they are competing at. Ages are as of 31st December 2018.
All competitors are welcome to come along for the whole afternoon, but should arrive at least 30 mins before their warm up time.
Trophies will be presented throughout the day.
We know some members can’t make the time of your group, you will be slotted in when you arrive. This will mean that some results and therefore presentations will be delayed.
All competitors where possible should wear a leotard and plain white socks (boys also wear shorts or stirrups).
If you do not own a leotard, then a club t-shirt is recommended, otherwise a plain white tshirt, black shorts and plain white socks.
Any donations for the tombola are still welcome at any training session this week, and home made cakes on the day.
We have use of the netting next to our section of the hall for spectators to watch the competition. There will be limited seating available so we recommend you bring your own chair. These chairs MUST have protective rubber feet.
NO FOOD OR DRINK IS ALLOWED IN THE NETS. NO HIGH HEELS SHOULD BE WORN ON THE CARPETTED AREAS.
There will be no cost for entry but programmes will be available for £1.
Some of you kindly volunteers for the original competition, if you are still available can you let me know, along with anyone else who could spare an hour or two. We have a number of jobs which we hope to spread round people so you are able to help a bit but also watch your child/children compete. Roles include :
Setting up – We will be setting up on Saturday morning during our normal training session
Setting down – We will have to tidy up everything at the end of the competition, so helpers always welcome
Tombola & Cake stall – we need people to rotate round manning these stalls
Entrance – we need a few people to sell programmes as people come in
Security – stationed by the netting to stop anyone with food or drink entering
Marshalls – People to tick off the people as they bounce and get the next one ready (list and training provided)
Helpers – general people to run round to find children, take them to the toilet or any other odd jobs
Trophies – need someone to look after the trophies and help with presentations
Recorders – People to write the scores down for each routine (training provided)
Judges – Anyone fancy having a go at judging, we are always looking for parents to get involved and we will give you all the help and support you need
I am sure there are lots more jobs which I have forgotten, so if anything above takes your fancy let me know and I’ll put you down for that role.
